FRANKFURT - December 2010
We had a 9 hour layover in Frankfurt before heading off to Beijing and then to Singapore, so we decided to leave the airport and check out the famous Christmas Market! This was definitely the best Christmas market yet...the Germans REALLY love their Christmas! We met up with Allie's German friend Christian (from her MBA program) and we had some lovely Gluwein and Feuerzangenboule (where you burn sugar in liquor and then light it on fire which makes it drip into the wine) before going back to the airport.
Yup, that thing on the left is a giant piece of lard.
